Life Membership Awarded

Brisbane North Chamber of Commerce has awarded its president, Simon Penrose, with Life Membership.

Having served as chamber President for more than 20 years the awarding of Life Membership recognises Simon’s outstanding service and significant contribution to the success of BNCC and the northside business community.

Presented with the award at the chamber’s recent Annual General Meeting, Simon said he was deeply honoured to receive Life Membership.

“It has been a great privilege to serve the local business community and watch the chamber grow and evolve over the years.

“When I first joined there were only a few dozen members. Through steady growth and engagement with the local business community I’m proud to say this year we began with over 200 business as part of BNCC.”

A number of members paid tribute to Simon’s service to the chamber with special commendations from BNCC Treasurer Robin Joe Kong and Northgate Ward Councillor Adam Allan.
