Northside Businesses Supporting Each Other
Brisbane North Chamber of Commerce has launched the 'Supporting Each Other' campaign.
Each week during May and June we'll be featuring stories of Northside businesses and how they've connected with one another through the chamber.
The campaign focuses on the importance of meeting, connecting, and building relationships in business.
Our first supporting each other story comes from Joy Owen Jones of Wise Employment.
Joy recently met fellow chamber member Adrian Toscano from Tosca Industries at the February Night Owls networking event.
"After we met and exchanged business cards, Adrian called me out of the blue to ask if we had any clients with truck licences that were looking for employment. Within two days, one of my wonderful clients was interviewed. The next day he started employment for Adrian's company.
"This opportunity has had a massive impact on my client's life. His mental health has changed for the better and he came in personally to thank me. It goes to show how a simple exchange of business cards can make all the difference!
"Adrian and I are now in regular contact for any future opportunities. If anyone is considering becoming a member of BNCC, I would highly recommend it."
Joy's story is one of numerous exchanges which take place every day between chamber members working to support each other.
If you'd like to share your story as part of the campaign please let us know.
