A Year Of Great Achievement
This was how BNCC President Simon Penrose described 2017 in his report to the Chamber’s AGM on Monday 7 November.
“Whether it’s our economic update, our signature breakfasts, our showcase or our monthly networking evenings, 2017 has been a year of memorable events which have helped to foster ever stronger ties across the business community.
“To see our members working together, making referrals or simply offering advice is a fantastic reflection on the vibrant and positive business environment which exists throughout the chamber.”
The President’s report was accompanied by an update on the chamber’s finances by Treasurer/Secretary Joe Kong.
The AGM also saw the appointment of two new members to the Chamber’s executive, with BNCC delighted to welcome Belinda Shaw of No B S Business Strategies and Associate Professor Wendy James from the Peter Faber Business School at Australian Catholic University.
The duo joins returning members Simon Penrose, Joe Kong, Peter Bailey, Dan Buzer, Richard Comer, Richard G Froehlich, Jo Hassan, Andrew Konefal and Mark Passfield.
The committee would also like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of outgoing members, Denis Keating, Everest Resources and Jason Borody, Vividus.
